Walt Disney at the tender age of 27 gave birth to one of his most loved children Mickey Mouse.

On the 21st of December 1937 he gave birth to another animated fairy tale Snow White and the seven dwarfs.

Animated classic after animated classic followed with characters such as Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi.

In 1955 Walt Disney launched Disneyland Park which was a marvel and where a lot of people see as a fun park, but Walt Disney was a genius who produced a theme park that was clean and environmentally friendly.

It would be very easy to bore you with the tunnels and trains that transported rubbish underneath the park but Disney is magical and you want magic.

In 1971 Disney opened the now famous Walt Disney World Resort Florida which is a firm favourite for both Americans and British visitors.

After Walt Disney's death, the company Disney has gone from strength to strength with not just animated films but also with human actors in movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean with characters such as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Disney launched another theme park, but this time for Europeans which was at first given the name EuroDisney Paris, for many years the park was a bit of a white elephant and was deemed as a failure from a business point of view.

Now Disney have renamed it to Disney Land Paris giving it a new lease of life and bringing it truly into the Disney family.

For those British who want the full magic of a Disney theme park, rather than the predictable European rainy weather Disneyland Park and  Walt Disney World Resort Florida are the places to be.
